Mor is a speculative design project that reflects on the awareness of the effective impact caused by daily actions.
The setting is a future scenario where paper is continuously decreasing, causing the necessity to control its consumption. The Treem device resolves the problem
by supplying the required toilet sheets after the credit card
is inserted.
However, to provoke the public even more,
the price is exagerated and the paper
is produced out of endangered trees,
each identified by
a graphic texture on the roll. They are divided
in three price ranges: the more it costs,
the more rare the tree is.
In other words, Mor is a fictional brand that, with an unexpected ironic twist, puts overconsumption above sustainability
and has an anti-enviromental messaging. The aim of the speculation is
to reflect
on the current mindset and practices concerning the environment.
This project has been selected for the showcase
Design X Designer at Politecnico di Milano
on the occasion of Fuori Salone 2022.
